Seattle Author Gives Reading At Auntie’S

Olivia is in a serious funk. She seeks solace in alcohol, in a series of women lovers and in the San Francisco bar life that keeps her medicated against emotions that she’s not willing to face.

Olivia’s struggle is central to “Dreaming Under a Ton Of Lizards,” the novel by Seattle writer Marian Michener that Kirkus Review calls “brief, intense and sharply ironic.”

Michener will read from her provocatively titled book at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Auntie’s Bookstore, Main and Washington.
