Sprague-Freya Intersection Closed On Weekend

The intersection of Sprague Avenue and Freya in Spokane will be closed from Friday at 7 p.m. until Monday at 6 a.m., as part of a project to install a new water main from Hatch east to Havana.

There will be a detour around the intersection and motorists should expect delays. The water main project began in late August and is scheduled to be completed in November.

Motorists on Friday also should expect delays and lane restrictions on the Newport Highway at Holland Rd. from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Crews are replacing sewer pipe along Holland from Newport Highway west to Colfax St. and then north on Colfax.
