Two Hurt In Highway 395 Crash

Two men were injured in a two-car collision on state Highway 395 near Arden in Stevens County on Monday evening, the Washington State Patrol reported.

The accident happened around 5:25 p.m. Robert E. Carrigan, 41, of Kettle Falls, was driving northbound on the highway. Joshua A. Bowyer, 22, of Valley, was traveling southbound. The cars collided in the southbound lane, WSP said.

Carrigan was transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center with head and internal injuries, WSP said. A hospital official said he was in critical condition late Monday. Bowyer was taken to Mount Carmel Hospital in Colville with broken legs, WSP said.
