Burn Limits Lifted; Permits Still Required

Slash burning restrictions have been lifted for Kootenai County.

Anyone wanting to burn piled logging or yard debris is required to get a burn permit. That permit is required until Sunday, according to the Idaho Department of Lands.

The Idaho Department of Lands had previously closed fire burning season for the Mica, Cataldo and West St. Joe fire districts because of the dry weather.
