Farmers’ Markets

Produce expected to be available this week at area farmers’ markets (depending on weather; shop early for best selection):

Spokane MarketPlace (Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., DeSmet and Ruby): English cucumbers, tomatoes, green beans, several varieties potatoes, squash, garlic, apples, Asian pears, plums, assorted sprouts.

The New Farmers’ Market (Final market of season Saturday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., First Covenant Church parking lot at Second and Division in Spokane): pears (regular and Asian), apples, winter squash, several varieties potatoes, onions, garlic, shallots.
