Eleanora (Fallert) Gooley Harrington, Wash.
Vigil service for Eleanora M. (Fallert) Gooley, 94, will be at 7 p.m. Friday at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in Harrington. Funeral Mass is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery. A luncheon will be held by the St. Clare Altar Society at the church following the burial. Strate Funeral Home in Davenport, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
A lifetime Harrington resident, Mrs. Gooley died Sunday.
She graduated from Harrington High School in 1923, and in 1932 married C.A. “Cy” Gooley. He died in 1982.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in Harrington.
Survivors include three sons, Ron Gooley of Cheney, Jim Gooley of Harrington and Bill Gooley of Anchorage, Alaska; two sisters, Rosella Ackerman and Katherine Yarwood, both of Spokane; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Evelyn Behrman Coeur d’Alene
Memorial service for Evelyn J. Behrman, 88, will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Unity Center of North Idaho in Coeur d’Alene. A gathering of family and friends will follow at the center. Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Behrman, who was born in Eureka, Calif., died Sunday.
She lived in Mt. Vernon, Wash., until returning to California at the age of 13.
Mrs. Behrman was a piano teacher for 66 years. She lived in Seattle until 1961 when she moved to Yakima.
She moved to Coeur d’Alene 10 years ago.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen Proudfoot of Invermere, British Columbia; a stepsister, Lucille Ekrem of Camano Island, Wash.; and one granddaughter, Shannon.

Dr. Donald Carver Coeur d’Alene
Private service for Dr. Donald Stanley Carver, 71, will be held at a later date. Vassar-Rawls Crematory in Lewiston is in charge of arrangements.
Dr. Carver, who was born in Colfax, Wash., died Monday from Parkinson’s Disease.
He grew up in Pullman and graduated from high school there. He served as student body president, captain of the football team and co-captain of the basketball team. In 1946 he received a bachelor of science degree in agriculture from Washington State College.
Dr. Carver received a Ph.D. in nutrition from Iowa State College in 1953 and worked as a research assistant for Swift and Co. in Chicago. From 1954 to 1956 he served as a 1st lieutenant and group personnel officer with the Air Force.
He later worked as director of the pet food laboratory at General Mills in Iowa. He also worked for James Ford Bell Research Lab in Minnesota.
Dr. Carver was the director of research at Ovaltine Food Products in Chicago in 1962, later serving as president of Ovaltine. He also worked as vice president of planning, purchasing and product development for Standard Brands in New York.
He returned to Chicago in 1972 and was president of the Cracker Jack Division at Borden Inc. until 1974, when he moved to San Diego and served as dean of the School of Management and Business at National University.
Dr. Carver retired in 1992 and moved to the Coeur d’Alene area.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Barbara; four sons, Dr. David Carver of Omaha, Neb., John Carver of Orient, Wash., and Steven and Scott Carver, both of Coeur d’Alene; three daughters, Joan Carver Marino of Midland, Mich., Jane Carver Ogle of Oceanside, Calif., and Beth Carver Yett of St. Cloud, Minn.; a brother, John Carver Jr. of Seattle; and nine grandchildren.

Carol Schneller Medical Lake
No services will be held for Carol Brevoort Schneller, 85, at her request. Mrs. Schneller, who was born in Hackensack, N.J., died Saturday.
She received a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from Syracuse University.
She moved to Medical Lake in 1979 and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Schneller was a member of the Spokane Club, American Association of University Women and the Lakeland Village Association. She was also a founder of the Action for the Residential Habitation Centers to help the mentally handicapped.
Her husband, Marvin Schneller, died in 1997.
She is survived by a daughter, Judith Gibbs of Seattle.

Dorothy Mountain Spokane
Memorial service for Dorothy M. Mountain, 87, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lincoln Heights Congregational Church. Private inurnment will be at Riverside Memorial Park. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
An 85-year Spokane resident, Mrs. Mountain died Oct. 15. She was born in Portland.
She graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 1930 and Kinman Business College in 1932.
Mrs. Mountain worked in the insurance department of Anchor Securities Co. from 1934 to 1944, and for Rogers and Rogers Reality Co. from 1946 to 1970.
She was a member of Lincoln Heights Congregational Church.
Mrs. Mountain is survived by her brother, Carl Bernson of Spokane.

Leonard O’Neil Colfax, Wash.
Rosary for Leonard “Butch” O’Neil, 75, will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax. Funeral Mass is planned for 11 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in Colfax. Burial will follow at the Colfax Cemetery.
A lifetime Colfax resident, Mr. O’Neil died Monday.
He worked on the family farm with his parents until they moved into Colfax in 1958.
Mr. O’Neil worked as a laborer for the Brown and Holter automotive dealership in Colfax.
He was a member of St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Eagles Lodge, Pullman Moose Lodge and Pine Grove Grange.
Mr. O’Neil is survived by two nephews, Mike Kincaid of Pullman and Jim Kincaid of Colfax.

Claude Collier Spokane
Service for Claude H. Collier, 77, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Pines Mausoleum. Burial will follow at the Pines Cemetery. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A 27-year Spokane resident, Mr. Collier died Saturday. He was born in Winona, Wash.
He worked as a truck driver for road construction.
His wife, Fern Collier, died in 1991.
Survivors include four stepsons, Dick and Dan Colby, and Jake and Dean Hogewoning, and a stepdaughter, Linda Cummings, all of Spokane; two sisters, Beverly Moat of Spokane and Betty Suess of Steptoe, Wash.; and five brothers, James Collier of Colfax, Wash., Don Collier of Lewiston, Dick Collier of Pomeroy, Wash., David Collier of Lynnwood, Wash., and Raymond Collier of Renton, Wash.
Bert Forsmann Coeur d’Alene
No service will be held for Bert A. Forsmann, 74, at his request. English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Forsmann, who was born in Cottonwood, Idaho, died Friday.
He married Berniece “Bea” Boston in 1945 and they lived in Colton, Wash. He worked as a section foreman for Burlington Northern Railroad.
Mr. Forsmann moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1967 and continued to work for the railroad, retiring in 1975 after 27 years of service.
He was a member of St. Pius Roman Catholic Church in Coeur d’Alene, Coeur d’Alene Eagles Aerie, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the National Association of Retired and Veteran Railroad Employees.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years; two sons, Earl Forsmann of Tacoma and Jack Forsmann of Oklahoma; a daughter, Donna Forsmann of Coeur d’Alene; numerous brothers and sisters; and two grandchildren, Joy and Jay.

Rinerd `Bud’ Aalfs Coeur d’Alene
No service will be held for Rinerd “Bud” Aalfs, 76, at his request. English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Aalfs, who was born in Mankato, Minn., died Thursday.
He married Helen Potter in 1942 and worked as a machinery development engineer for Barber-Coleman in Illinois. He retired in 1982 and moved to Coeur d’Alene.
Mr. Aalfs had designed guns and also taught desert survival courses at one time.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years; two sons, Rinerd Aalfs Jr. of Mesa, Ariz., and Eric Aalfs of Coeur d’Alene; a daughter, Diana Weller of Spokane; a grandson, Dwight and a great-grandson, Nichalas.

Robert Weil Post Falls
Viewing for Robert Francis Weil, 78, will be Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m. at English Funeral Chapel in Post Falls. Funeral Mass will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at St. George’s Roman Catholic Church in Post Falls. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Post Falls.
Mr. Weil, who was born in Jersey City, N.J., died Tuesday.
He married Dorothy Little in 1946, and worked as a machinist for ColgatePalmolive Cosmetic Co. in New Jersey until retiring in 1977 and moving to California.
Mr. Weil moved to Hauser Lake, Idaho, four years ago.
He was a member of Santiago De Compostla Roman Catholic Church in El Toro, Calif.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years; a son, Stephen Weil of Post Falls; two daughters, Patricia Weil of Spokane and Mary Murray of New Jersey; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Jerry Hartley Spokane
Memorial service for Jerry E. Hartley, 61, will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Spokane Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hartley, who was born in Horton, Kan., died Saturday.
He served in the Army, and moved to Spokane in 1950.
He worked as a foundry worker for Spokane Steel and later the Inland Foundry in Mead. He retired in 1995.
Survivors include his wife, Marlene; a son, Richard Hartley of Blanchard, Idaho; three daughters, Wanda Holloway of Spokane, Carrie Spencer of Fruitland, Wash., and Janet Baker of Boise; two brothers, Dale McCoy of Spokane and William Hartley of Otis Orchards; a sister, Linda Eaton of Torrington, Wyo.; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Yoshiko (Saiki) Wakabayashi Spokane
Memorial service for Yoshiko (Saiki) Wakabayashi, 76, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Heritage Funeral Home.
A lifetime Spokane resident, Mrs. Wakabayashi died Sunday.
She graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 1941, and in 1949 married Tokuo Wakabayashi.
Mrs. Wakabayashi worked as a retail sales clerk in the Legion Building Pharmacy.
She was a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Marlene Wakabayashi, and two brothers, George and Mike Saiki, all of Spokane.

Melvin Stuart Spokane
Memorial service for Melvin Stuart, 75, will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Private burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
Mr. Stuart, who was born in Glendive, Mont., died Sunday.
He served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War.
Mr. Stuart moved to Spokane in 1946 and worked as a truck driver at Banner Furnace and Fuel for 41 years.
He was a member of Teamsters Local 690.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Eleanore; a son, Dennis Stuart; two daughters, Linda Wilbur and Kathy Tate; a brother, Allen Stuart; four sisters, Myrtle Gamroth, Shirley Knoell, Joyce Roders and Verna Jewell; four grandsons and one great-grandson.

Melville Lundy Spokane
Service for Melville Clark Lundy, 96, was held Monday at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Burial follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
A 57-year Spokane resident, Mr. Lundy died Thursday. He was born in North Dakota.
He worked as a maintenance engineer.
Mr. Lundy was a member of the Mission Community Presbyterian Church, Masonic Lodge, Sons of Norway, Corbin Senior Center and the Northeast Senior Center.
His wife, Christine Lundy died in 1994.
Survivors include two sons, Harold and Kenneth Lundy, both of Spokane; two daughters, Muriel Petrettee and Dorothy Brown; a sister, Cora Harms of Florida; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Edward Speicher Spokane
Service for Edward J. Speicher, 78, was held Monday at Heritage Funeral Home. Burial followed at Riverside Memorial Park.
A 55-year Spokane resident, Mr. Speicher died Wednesday. He was born in Genoa, Ill.
He served in the Army Air Corps as a radio operator during World War II.
Mr. Speicher worked as a painter and owned his own painting company.
He was a member of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 45.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Alice; two sons, Scott and Keith Speicher; two daughters, Karen Speicher and Marcia Young; a sister, Gladys Leitner; and 10 grandchildren.
Harold Davis Spokane
No services will be held for Harold W.H. Davis, 78, at his request. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A 40-year Spokane resident, Mr. Davis died Oct. 19. He was born in Benton, Mo.
He worked as a painter in the construction industry.
Mr. Davis was a member of the White Mud Grange and the Inland Empire Big Game Council.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian; two sons, Jerry and Jack Davis, both of Spokane; a daughter, Becky Jackson of St. Louis, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Shirley Tesdal of Spokane; a brother, Clyde Davis of Illinois; three grandchildren, a stepgranddaughter and seven great-grandchildren.
