Polygraph Planned For Father Of Girl Valiree Jackson’S Father Has Said He Would Take Test
Sheriff’s detectives plan to give the father of a missing Spokane Valley girl a lie-detector test as soon as they can schedule a time, officials said Tuesday.
Investigators want William “Brad” Jackson to take a polygraph examination so they know whether to consider him a potential suspect in his daughter’s disappearance.
Nine-year-old Valiree Jackson vanished from her grandparents’ home at 13319 E. Blossey on Oct. 18 and hasn’t been seen since.
Jackson, the last person to see her, said Monday he was willing to take the test.
Investigators have all but eliminated the girl’s mother as a potential suspect in the case, sheriff’s Lt. Doug Silver said.
Roseann Pleasant disappeared under mysterious circumstances in 1992. There has been no trace of her since then.
Pleasant, who would be 43 if she’s still alive, has a history of prostitution and drug use, according to family members and authorities. She and Jackson never married, and he won custody of Valiree several years ago.
Silver said detectives have discovered no leads to Pleasant’s whereabouts. A woman who claimed that Pleasant lived in a north Spokane apartment as late as last year apparently was mistaken, he said.
Detectives are continuing to look for sex offenders who are believed to live near the Blossey address. “Once located, they will be interviewed regarding their whereabouts during the time period the 9-year-old vanished,” sheriff’s spokesman Deputy Dave Reagan said.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Crime Check at 456-2233 or Secret Witness at 327-5111. Secret Witness is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to Valiree’s discovery.
