Trio Seeking Two Seats On Worley City Council
Three Worley residents are vying for two City Council seats in their southern Kootenai County town of 200.
Rosalie Taylor is making her first try at public office. The 42-year-old is an emergency medical technician and also works at the Homestead Restaurant. She has lived in Worley five years.
She said she’s pleased with actions of current council members, noting that a new community center and post office are being built.
“I know that there’s a lot more work that needs to be done,” Taylor said.
Robert Wienclaw, 26, has been a Coeur d’Alene tribal police officer for three years. He said he’s “just interested in being a part of what goes on” in the town where he has lived for 18 years.
Incumbent Don Sczenski also is seeking one of the two-year open council seats. An employee at Adeline’s smoke shop, he did not return calls seeking comment.
The mayor’s post also is open, but no one is running against incumbent Charlene Waddell.
