Greg Smith, a naturalist and backcountry ranger from Glacier National Park, will be at REI, 1125 N. Monroe, at 7 p.m. Tuesday to discuss the grizzly bear.

It’s open to the public.

Smith, using a multimedia slide presentation, will focus on the biology and natural history of the grizzly living in the continental United States. He’ll discuss the importance of maintaining viable grizzly bear populations and the significance of the Yellowstone to Yukon Habitat Initiative.

There’ll be time for discussion.
