Wayne Ivie Smelterville, Idaho

Graveside inurnment service for Wayne Lester Ivie, 29, will be Wednesday at Greenwood Cemetery in Kellogg. Shoshone Funeral Service in Kellogg is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Ivie, who was born in Kellogg, died Wednesday.

He grew up in the Silver Valley and attended schools in Pinehurst and Kellogg. He then worked as a miner and as a logger in the timber industry. Mr. Ivie was also a mechanic and was active in fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his parents, Wendell and Karen Ivie of Smelterville; a daughter, Samantha Tjaden of Smelterville; three brothers, Rick Schollmeyer of Washington state, Steve Ivie of Pinehurst, and Wendell Ivie Jr. of Elko, Nev.; and a sister, Linda Henderson of Boise.

Wendell Engeldinger Deer Park

Memorial service for Wendell L. Engeldinger, 82, will be at 10 a.m. today at Sunset Mausoleum at Fairmount Memorial Park. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Engeldinger, who was born in Lethbridge, Alberta, died Thursday.

He was a 60-year Spokane resident and was a head mechanic for the Air National Guard.

He was a member of the Air National Guard Booster Club and Eagles Lodge No. 2.

Survivors include his wife, Faye; two daughters, Dorothy Rosenberger of Coolin, Idaho, and Paula Dalrymple of Brandon, Minn.; a son, Floyd Engeldinger of Clayton, Wash.; a sister, Jean Anderson of Spokane; a brother, Bob Engeldinger of Orangeville, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Shirley Noyes Spokane

Graveside service for Shirley Grace Noyes, 65, was Saturday at Hall Creek Cemetery in Inchelium, Wash.

Mrs. Noyes, who was born in Curlew, Wash., died June 26.

She was a homemaker.

Her husband, Tom, died in 1991.

Survivors include three daughters, Eileen Clausen, Lori Coston and Robin Adsit, all of Spokane; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Amanda Robbins Post Falls

Service for Amanda E. Robbins, 87, will be held at a later date in Terre Haute, Ind. English Funeral Chapel in Post Falls is in charge of local arrangements.

Mrs. Robbins, who was born in Brownstown, Ill., died Thursday.

She graduated from high school in Brownstown and graduated from Eastern Illinois Teachers College. She returned to Brownstown, where she taught in a one-room schoolhouse for three years.

In 1935 she married Charles Robbins and they moved to Post Falls in 1994.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Robbins was a member of the Post Falls Senior Center and the Evangelical Wesleyan Church in Harrisburg, Pa., where she served as a board member, Sunday school teacher and missionary president.

Her husband died in 1990.

Survivors include three daughters, Jewel Phares-Maguire of Indianapolis, Ind., Rebekah F.J. Kneal of San Diego, Calif., and Christina Horn of Post Falls; a sister, Edna Frailey of Illinois; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Pauline Lamphiear Spokane

Memorial service for Pauline P. Lamphiear, 75, will be at 11 a.m. today at St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church. Private inurnment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Trentwood. The Neptune Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Lamphiear, who was born in Roswell, N.M., died Thursday.

She married Charles Lamphiear in 1953 and they moved to Spokane in 1965.

Mrs. Lamphiear was a seamstress for Multi Fab for four years until she began working for Jan Sports as a sewing inspector. She retired in 1995.

She was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Charles, James and Max Lamphiear; a sister, Esther Rios; and two grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Vianney Catholic Church.

Ruby Newell Coeur d’Alene

Graveside service for Ruby M. Newell, 81, will be held at a later date in Whitefish, Mont. English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of local arrangements.

Mrs. Newell, who was born in North Dakota, died Wednesday.

She lived in Whitefish and was a homemaker. She moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1990.

Mrs. Newell was a crochet and knitting crafter.

Her husband, Bud, preceded her in death.

Survivors include three sons, Robert Newell of Richland, Dale Newell of Coeur d’Alene, and David Newell of Idaho Falls; two brothers, Loren Torgison of Whitefish and Don Torgison of Libby, Mont.; and a sister, Phyllis Howell of Yuma, Ariz.

Howard Utecht Veradale

Graveside service for Howard A. Utecht, 73, will be at 10 a.m. today at Pines Cemetery. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Utecht, a lifetime Veradale resident, died Thursday.

He served in the Army during World War II in Korea. He worked as a laborer for various construction companies and retired in 1982.

Mr. Utecht was a member of the Laborer’s Union Local 238.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Virginia; four sons, Terry Siegel of Hayden Lake, Idaho, Steve Siegel of Rathdrum, Idaho, and Eddie and Danny Siegel, both of Post Falls; two brothers, Elmer and Chester Utecht, both of Veradale; two sisters, Donna Eastman of Veradale and Dorothy Camel of Greenacres; 11 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

Joseph Stillwell Spokane

Service for Joseph L. Stillwell, 91, will be at 1 p.m. today at Sunset Mausoleum at Fairmount Memorial Park. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral is in charge of arrangements.

A lifetime Spokane resident, Mr. Stillwell died Thursday.

He was a carpenter and a member of the Carpenters Union.

His wife, Helen, died in 1997.

Survivors include a son, Bill Stillwell of Spokane; three daughters, Karen Dashiell of Spokane, Shirley Hall of Oak Harbor, Wash., and Sandy Meck of Bellingham; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Tadeusz Wisniewski Post Falls

Funeral Mass for Tadeusz Wisniewski, 84, will be today at 8 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Post Falls. Burial will be in Stevensville, Mont. English Funeral Chapel in Post Falls is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Wisniewski, who died Thursday, was born in Poland.

He served during World War II in the Polish Army.

In 1948 he married Irene Obruczeff. They later immigrated to the United States.

Mr. Wisniewski lived in Hamilton, Mont., and worked as a drafting engineer. He moved to Post Falls in 1997.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

His wife died in 1997.

Survivors include five sons, Waldemar, Tony, Gene, Steve, and Jan Wisniewski; two daughters, Krystyna Wisniewski and Teresa Bergman; a brother, Josef Wisniewski; and two sisters, Genowefa and Janina. Barbara `Bobby’ (Davis) Johnson Spokane

Private memorial service for Barbara “Bobby” (Davis) Johnson, 81, will be held at Badger Lake. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born and raised in Garfield, Wash., Mrs. Johnson died May 29.

She worked as a switchboard operator for a phone company in Garfield .

Mrs. Johnson moved to Pullman and married Edwin Johnson in 1941. She worked at Clark’s Grocery Store for several years before taking a job at the Student Book Corporation.

After she and her husband retired they moved to their summer home on Badger Lake. She spent winters in California.

Her husband died in 1998.

Survivors include a daughter, Judy McDonald of Fair Oaks, Calif.; a son, Randall Johnson of Pullman; a sister, Yolande Sherman of Pullman; two granddaughters and one great-granddaughter.
