A 67-year-old Pearl City, Hawaii, resident was killed Friday after his 1994 Ford Ranger left the road and struck a rock wall, according to the Idaho State Police.

Ronald Mercer had been traveling east on State Highway 200 near Hope at about 5 p.m. when the accident occurred. He was pronounced dead at Bonner General Hospital. Mercer was not wearing a seat belt and was alone in the car, police said.
