UI president in hospital after heart attack
MOSCOW, Idaho — University of Idaho President Tim White was resting comfortably and undergoing tests Monday after suffering a mild heart attack, university spokeswoman Kathy Barnard said.
White, 55, was in stable condition after being taken to Gritman Medical Center in Moscow following the attack Sunday.
White complained of mild chest pains Saturday, but attended Idaho midyear commencement activities. The pains worsened Sunday, Barnard said.
Tests were scheduled over the next several days. It was not immediately clear when he would be released from the hospital.
The former Oregon State University provost underwent quintuple bypass surgery in May, which delayed for a month his scheduled July 1 installment as Idaho president.
