NIC men, women both earn victories

Harry Disy finished with 20 points and 12 rebounds Tuesday to lead the North Idaho men’s basketball team to an 89-85 non-conference victory over the NBC Thunder in Coeur d’Alene.

Shea Bradshaw shot 5 for 11 from 3-point range and finished with 19 points for the Cardinals (9-5). Darin Nagle contributed 12 points and seven rebounds and Foluke Tobin added 10 points.

Shann Ferch led scoring for the Thunder with 23 points. Gunner Olsen added 18 points and 15 rebounds.

Women

Jeni Boesel finished 6 for 12 from the field and scored 16 points as she led North Idaho to an 85-56 non-conference win over visiting Big Bend Community College (2-6).

Boesel also finished with eight rebounds and three steals. Teammate Sarah Dennehy added 11 points and eight rebounds for NIC (8-5).

North Idaho outrebounded the Vikings 47-34.
