‘Super Size Me’ creator signs book deal
Morgan Spurlock, creator of the documentary “Super Size Me,” has signed a book.
The nonfiction book is scheduled to be published early next year by G.P. Putnam’s Sons.
For the film, Spurlock consumed nothing but McDonald’s food for 30 days and documented its detrimental impact on his health. He and the film first garnered attention in January at the Sundance Film Festival, where he won the best-director award.
The film also benefited from the publicity generated in March when McDonald’s announced it would be phasing out its trademark Super Size french fries and drinks.
