Joel Cooking Classes — With John Pierce, a Le Cordon Bleu chef, Saturday; and David Ross, PBS Master Chef, on June 19. Classes are free and will be at noon at 165 S. Post St. Reservations are requested; call 624-2354.

Knife and Scissors Clinic — Steve from Sharp Stuff will give a brief, free class on knife sharpening, handling and care at Everyday Gourmet, 2829 E. 29th Ave., June 19. The class will repeat at 10 and 11 a.m., and 1 and 2 p.m. You can get your knives sharpened for $3 while you wait. Call 532-0080 for more details.
