Rosary Academy to offer 2-day Renaissance Faire
Our Lady of the Rosary Academy is hosting its second annual Lilacs and Roses Renaissance Faire on June 18 and 19 at the Moran Prairie Grange, 6006 S. Palouse Highway.
The fair will feature family activities, games, crafts, entertainment and food.
Admission is $2 for adults, or two cans of food for the Spokane Food Bank. Children 12 and under will be admitted for free.

Introduction to Buddhism
The Spokane Buddhist Temple, 927 S. Perry St., is again offering an informal introduction into Jodo Shinshu Buddhism on Sunday at 2 p.m.
The topics covered at this lecture will be the history, concepts and traditions of Jodo Shunshu. There will be a 3 p.m. service after the lecture with guest the Rev. Don Castro.

Book discussion
“The Purpose Driven Life,” a book by Rick Warren, will be the subject of a weekly discussion group starting June 16 at 7 p.m. at Lincoln Heights Congregational Church, 3527 E. 29th Ave.
Topics of discussion will include God’s purpose for people’s lives.
