Courchaine off to NIC

Central Valley graduate Caitlin Courchaine has accepted a scholarship to play basketball for North Idaho College for the upcoming season it was announced Tuesday.

Courchaine was an All-Greater Spokane League selection playing the wing on a CV team that won two state 4A championships and had a second-place finish.

She will join NIC after taking the past year off from basketball.

WSU baseball adds Jewett

Travis Jewett was hired as Washington State’s associate head coach and recruiting coordinator for the baseball program.

The Cougar graduate and former University of Washington assistant coach takes over the position vacated by Washington State head coach Donnie Marbut when Marbut took the program’s top job.
