Sounds like Pat had an ‘Access’ or two to grind

After Pat O’Brien announced he was leaving “Access Hollywood” for the rival entertainment show “The Insider,” he had some choice words for “Access” co-host Shaun Robinson. Among the highlights in a scathing e-mail obtained by the New York Post:
“Shaun … Your behavior to me over the past few years has been a sickening joke. From the day you called (former NBC Enterprises president) Ed Wilson and said I was creating a hostile situation … to last week when you went postal on my friend and accused me of an affair … and talked to me like a 5-year-old gang member.
“I have never known anybody so disliked in a newsroom and it’s well deserved. You push people to the limits and you are so needy and demanding … it is scary.
“People laugh at you. But they are afraid of your always taking the race card. … You cannot believe how much you are disliked. Try and repair it … or you’ll be back in local news before you know it … with no wardrobe people to yell at every day.”
O’Brien told the Post: “Looking back, it was foolish and a reminder that you should count to 10 before pushing ‘send.’ I’ve apologized to Shaun, and to be honest I am regretting the situation.”
Robinson declined to comment.
And now, the rebirth of Destiny’s Child
Destiny’s Child will perform together for the first time in nearly two years as part of the Pepsi “Play for a Billion” TV game show on ABC in September.
“We are really looking forward to getting back on stage and performing together as a group,” lead singer Beyonce said in a statement.
Ashley sticks by her sister
Actress Ashley Olsen has canceled a trip to Australia to stay with her twin sister, Mary-Kate, who is being treated for what her publicist calls “a health-related issue.”
Us Weekly and People magazines reported this week that Mary-Kate has an eating disorder.
Ashley had been scheduled to attend the Australian premiere of their movie “New York Minute.”
To her, of course, it’s a bean problem
Singer Jessica Simpson, best known for confusing Chicken of the Sea tuna with actual chicken on her MTV reality show, canceled concerts Tuesday and Wednesday because of a kidney infection.
Her next show is scheduled tonight in Detroit. Simpson, 23, issued a statement saying she “can’t wait until the doctor says it’s OK for me to get back out there. Thanks to everyone for their get-well wishes.”
The shoulder bone’s connected to the … eye bone?
David Bowie, who was hit in the eye with a lollipop thrown by a fan at a concert in Norway last Friday, cut short a concert in Prague on Wednesday because of pain in his shoulder.
Bowie’s publicist said it was “nothing more serious than a pinched nerve in his shoulder.”
Sounds like the whiskey was workin’ overtime
Country singer Marty Stuart was arrested Wednesday for driving under the influence of alcohol following a non-injury accident in a McDonald’s parking lot in Hendersonville, Tenn.
A 2002 drunken driving charge against Stuart was dismissed by a judge who ruled there was not enough probable cause to stop his car, but he lost his driver’s license for a year for refusing to take a blood-alcohol test.
Stuart’s hit include a duet with Travis Tritt, “The Whiskey Ain’t Workin’. “
