Idaho flight disappears near Portland

Associated Press

MOLALLA, Ore. — The Civil Air Patrol was searching Wednesday for a missing light plane in the Molalla area.

The Cessna 185 with just the pilot on board was reported overdue Tuesday evening on a flight from Idaho to Hillsboro, a Portland suburb.

The Federal Aviation Administration said the plane dropped off radar at about 2 p.m. over the Molalla area, just south of Portland.

The aircraft reportedly did not land at a nearby airport.

The pilot was not immediately identified.
