With Brit actress Winslet, what you see is what is

WISHFUL THINKING ASIDE, movie producers are going to have to reconcile actress Kate Winslet with her real woman’s body.

Winslet, who refuses to adhere to Hollywood’s unwritten law that actresses look like stick figures, says reports that she had slimmed down to a British size 8 – the equivalent of a U.S. size 4 – are “insane.”

Clad in a floor-length Ben de Lisi gown, Winslet appeared Sunday at the London premiere of her latest movie, “Finding Neverland.” British newspapers on Monday carried prominent photographs the actress, newly svelte after the birth of her second child, Joe.

“It is so insane,” Winslet said. “I haven’t lost any weight.”

It’s a fact, she said, that “Everybody likes to think it is a great story to talk about my fluctuating weight. The reality is I have had two children in four years and the only time my weight goes up and down is when I’m pregnant, which happens. I have stayed the same weight apart from those times.”

In “Finding Neverland,” the 29-year-old Winslet plays Sylvia Llewelyn Davies, whose four young sons inspired Scottish author J.M Barrie – played by Johnny Depp – to write the children’s classic “Peter Pan.”

Stan, Kyle and Eric would say the same thing

“South Park” co-creator Matt Stone has a message for all you undecided voters: “Stay home.”

“It doesn’t matter who you’re gonna vote for,” Stone told the San Francisco Chronicle. “If you really don’t know who you’re gonna vote for, or are uninformed, or haven’t really thought about it? Just stay home.”

Stone and partner Trey Parker‘s marionette flick “Team America: World Police” made $12.3 million in its opening weekend. A parody of 1980s action movies, the film ridicules both Democrats and Republicans.

“If you really don’t know or you’re just going to vote for George Bush because he’s already in office, or you’re gonna vote for John Kerry because he’s on the cover of Rolling Stone, don’t do that.” Stone said. “That’s lame. Just stay home.”

The Donald’s back to Trump a new season

They’re already filming a third season of “The Apprentice,” says Donald Trump, who told the Associated Press that he’s already begun intimidating a whole new slate of would-be entrepreneurs. “It’s going very well,” Trump told The Associated Press. “It’s a great group.”

Trump had much less to say about John Willenborg, whom he most recently fired from the NBC reality show. “He’s a great guy, a terrific man in many respects. But it was not a good week for John,” Trump said.

Kopple may give Dr. Death new life

Two-time Oscar winner Barbara Kopple is planning on making a film about “Dr. Death,” better known as Jack Kevorkian. Kevorkian is in the fifth year of a 10- to 25-year sentence for second-degree murder (he gave a poison injection to 52-year-old Thomas Youk in 1998).

Kopple, who won Oscars for “Harlan County, U.S.A.” and “American Dream,” said the film “will look at the life of Dr. Kevorkian and all the incredible layers of his personality. And it will look at a man who’s given up so much for what he believes.”

Martha has nowhere to run to

Martha Reeves, former lead singer of Martha Reeves & the Vandellas, accuses eBay of posting a contract on its Web site that showed her Social Security number and signature. The contract was one that Reeves had signed in 1975 to appear on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.” Reeves, 63, who lives in Detroit, said, “You feel completely exposed. They’ve got my Social Security number and signature. That’s all they need to steal my identity.”
