Junior midfielder Jennie Summers scored in the 78th minute Tuesday to give Eastern Washington University a 2-1 non-conference women’s soccer win over Northern Colorado.

Kerstyn Dolack, coming off the bench, scored late in the first half to give the Eagles (1-1) a 1-0 lead. Northern Colorado tied the match in the 59th minute with Marika Johnson’s header goal off a free kick from midfield.

•The Sports Network has selected Eastern Washington University junior quarterback Erik Meyer as one of 16 players as a preseason candidate for NCAA Division I-AA offensive football player of the year, the school announced Tuesday.
