The Spokesman-Review

Freshman Evan Palo made the most of his limited play Tuesday afternoon by scoring the lone goal during Lake City’s 1-0 non-league boys soccer win over visiting Moscow.

Palo found himself in the perfect spot during his 10 minutes of play. Standing 8 yards from the goal, Palo gathered in a rebound of Cody Steele’s shot and scored despite the presence of two defenders.

Timberwolves goalkeeper Robert Cook stopped a penalty kick halfway through the first half. Cook also snuffed out a Bears 1-on-1 play in the opening half.

The Bears were limited to one shot on goal during the second half.
