Free dump passes available from COPS Northwest
The Northwest Neighborhood Association will issue free dump passes to association area residents.
Thirty dump passes, valued at $25 each, will be issued beginning at 9 a.m. Monday at the COPS Northwest substation, 2215 W. Wellesley Ave., Suite D, situated next to the Laundromat at Shadle Center. The passes are valid from Sept. 19 through Oct. 2.
Passes will be issued, one to a person, on a first-come, first-served basis. A driver’s license or utility bill is required to verify association area residence.
The Northwest Neighborhood Association covers the area west of Ash Street to the Spokane River, bounded by Francis Avenue to the north and Fairview-Belt-Indiana to the south, including Westgate and Northwest Terrace.
Morgan Acres meeting planned
The Morgan Acres subarea planning meeting will be held at 7 p.m., next Thursday at Fire Station 98, 6606 N. Regal St.
The main agenda item will be the approval of the subarea plan draft and the permission to release the plan for review and approval at a public meeting in October.
Meetings
• The North Hill Neighborhood Council will meet at 7 tonight at Fire Station 13, 1118 W. Wellesley Ave. There will be a discussion of October neighborhood cleanup.
• The North Indian Trail Council will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 8441 N. Indian Trail Road.
• The Bemiss Neighborhood Council will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Bemiss Elementary School, 2323 E. Bridgeport Ave.
• The Hillyard Neighborhood Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Northeast Community Center, 4001 N. Cook St.
