Read for Trees – Forester Jim Flott will discuss the importance of trees in our lives, and children can plant their own seedlings. Paws for Reading – Kaile the reading dog will be at the East Side Library, 524 S. Stone, at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday for children who need help reading out loud or are reluctant to read. For information, call 444-5377.
Kids Bike Race Series – Ages 2 through 12 can participate in competitions on kid-friendly courses, learn safety tips and routine bike maintenance. The events take place Sunday at 1 p.m. at High Bridge Park, 2400 W. Fifth; Sept. 26 at 11 a.m. at Mirabeau Point Park, 13500 E.
