SCT presents ‘Princess and the Pea’
The Spokane Children’s Theatre kicks off its 59th season on Saturday with the classic story of “The Princess and the Pea.”
This is Michele L. Vacca’s humorous adaptation of the story of a princess who tries to prove her lineage by feeling a tiny pea under the thickness of 20 mattresses. It is based on the Hans Christian Andersen tale.
Jan Canfield makes her directorial debut. The cast includes Vicki Hynes, Steve Warner and Austin Mell.
Please make note of the location: Spokane Community College’s Lair Auditorium, 1810 S. Greene St. The Children’s Theatre has moved several of its shows to that location this season.
Performances continue through Oct. 17. Saturday shows are at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Sunday shows are at 1 and 4 p.m. An additional show will be Oct. 12 at 7 p.m.
