SNAP to benefit from Civic event

A night at the Spokane Civic Theatre will benefit the many programs of Spokane Neighborhood Action Programs.

Attend the April 13 performance of “I’m Not Rappaport,” to participate.

A reception will be held at 6:30 p.m., curtain goes up at 7:30.

Seeking volunteers

The Performing Arts Committee of the Spokane Valley Arts Council is seeking volunteers for DanceFest Spokane 2005.

DanceFest is a free event to be held April 30, and will feature showcase performances of all forms of dance, a social dance, health fair, art gallery, arts and crafts, a children’s area, vendor booths, silent auction and a spaghetti feed.

Events will be held in the Lair Student Center at Spokane Community College from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Auction

Members of Shadle Park Presbyterian Church will host a live and silent auction on April 16.

Proceeds will be used for members’ mission to Vincent Guerro, Baja California, Mexico to help build houses for families in need.

Items will be up for bid at the church, 5508 N. Alberta St., from 5 to 8 p.m.

Tickets will be available at the door for $2; children ages 12 and under will be admitted free.
