Tice will be fined for ticket scalping

Associated Press

Minnesota Vikings coach Mike Tice will likely be fined by the NFL for scalping Super Bowl tickets.

NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue said Wednesday that Tice, a former tight end with the Seattle Seahawks, broke league rules by reselling the tickets, something he called “clear violations of our policies.”

“At some point, I will be imposing discipline,” Tagliabue said. “I don’t think it will include a suspension.”

Tagliabue said “a fine or multiple fines” would probably be appropriate.

Terrell Owens recently hired Drew Rosenhaus to replace his longtime agent, David Joseph, and Rosenhaus met with Philadelphia Eagles president Joe Banner, presumably to discuss his client’s contract. It’s unlikely that the Eagles would redo Owens’ deal.
