KXLY Spanish feed available on FSN

The Spokesman-Review

KXLY’s Seattle Mariners Spanish Radio Network has added two stations in the Puget Sound, plus signed a deal providing Spanish audio for viewers of Fox Sports Net’s home-game telecasts.

A month ago, KXLY announced it had lost a Seattle Spanish affiliate, leaving them with just two AM stations in Yakima and the Tri-Cities. Since then it added Spanish stations in Bremerton and Tacoma.

More importantly, the network recently signed a deal with FSN Northwest to carry the Spanish M’s broadcast as the secondary audio feed on the remaining Mariners home broadcasts, said KXLY’s Roger Nelson.

“That’s 2.4 million viewers. That’s very good for us.”

The Spanish feed will only be available on FSN Northwest, not on any other cable or network Mariners broadcasts, said Nelson. The Spanish broadcasts are only for Mariners home games.
