Meeting about pools Thursday at senior center

The Spokesman-Review

Let your opinion make a splash.

The city of Spokane Valley wants citizens to attend a community meeting Thursday to share ideas for future aquatic facilities.

Does the city need a new pool? What should it be like? Would citizens prefer a water park with a winding manmade river, slides and spray toys? Or would citizens rather Spokane Valley not build anything at all?

City staffers and an aquatics consultant hired by the city will gather feedback from the public and incorporate it into a feasibility study, and into a Parks and Recreation master plan. The plan will outline goals to meet the city’s park needs for the next several years.

The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. It will be held at the Spokane Valley Senior Center, 11423 E. Mission Ave.
