NEW FACES

Eric Sprink has been hired at Global Credit Union to be in charge of Member Business Services. Sprink has worked previously at America West Bank, Washington Trust Bank and Bank of America. He holds a master’s of business administration from the Kenan-Flager Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

WhiteRunkle has hired Cathy Duer as media director. Duer previously worked as a media buyer at B HW1 and received a bachelor’s degree in communications from Washington State University.

Mortgage Warehouse has hired Ben Sharpe to originate and close mortgage loans. He was previously the regional vice president at Action Mortgage and has 17 years of experience.

Julie Moyer-Nesbitt has been hired as an intern at Gibby Media Group. She is completing her master’s degree in organizational leadership at Gonzaga University.

Spokane Regional Sports Commission has hired Suzanne Boyce as director of marketing communications. She holds a master’s of business administration from Gonzaga University and previously worked in sales and marketing at Red Lion Hotels, the Davenport and World Wide Packets.

Marie Garvey has been hired as office manager at Dover Bay Real Estate in Sandpoint. She previously worked as an administrative assistant and bookkeeper at Tomlinson Black South in Spokane and is attending Eastern Washington University.

The Spokane District Bureau of Land Management has hired Roberta (Robin) Estes as associate district manager. She has 26 years of experience in natural resource management in Washington State and previously worked at the Colville and Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forests and the Washington State Department of Natural Resources.

Virginia Pugh has been hired at Cancer Care Northwest as a phlebotomist in the Laboratory Services Department. She has 11 years of experience and previously worked at Rockwood Clinic.

Cancer Care Northwest has hired Rexanne Glocking as a supplemental chemo infusion registered nurse in the clinical services department. She has 15 years of nursing experience and previously worked at Deaconess Hospital.

PROMOTED

Northwest Farm Credit Services has promoted Roger Cramer to senior vice president of risk management. He most recently worked as regional vice president for financial services.

Linda Hendricksen has been promoted to vice president of marketing at Northwest Farm Credit Services. She has been with the company since 1982 and has over 20 years of marketing and communications experience.

Washington State University Spokane has promoted Jo Ann Thompson to vice chancellor. Thompson is a professor and former senior associate dean of WSU Spokane and has been with the school since 1985.

Dennis Dyck has been promoted at Washington State University Spokane to vice chancellor for research at the school. He will also serve as associate vice provost for research. He previously worked as associate dean of research since 2001.

Rick Brown has been promoted at North Idaho Title and Montana Title and Escrow to regional president of Idaho and Montana operations. He previously worked as executive vice president and sales manager and has over 14 years of experience.

KUDOS

The Optometric Physicians of Washington has awarded Dr. Doug Harshman the 2005 Young Optometrist of the Year Award. Harshman received his doctor of optometry degree from the University of Houston in 2000.

Avista Corporation’s Clark Fork River Project has been recognized by the Outstanding Stewardship of America’s Rivers report conducted by the National Hydropower Association. The project was recognized for outstanding environmental stewardship.

Steve Taylor, the supervisor of North Idaho College Food Services, received a bronze medal and fourth place in a food preparation and presentation competition at the National Association of College and University Food Services Conference.

Honeywell Corporation has awarded Allied Fire and Security the Dealer of the Year award for the west coast region. The company received this award for the high level of business it does with Honeywell.

Bobbi Johnson has received the Mission Advancement award from Goodwill Industries International. She received this award for providing innovative services to people being released from penal institutions to prevent recidivism through job placement.

GIFTS

Scott Carson, vice president of sales for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, and his wife Linda Carson have gifted $275,000 to the Washington State University College of Business and Economics to create and build the Professional Development Center.

Tomlinson Black Real Estate has contributed $125,000 towards the redevelopment of the Fox Theater.
