Kassie Lewis doubled twice and scored twice Tuesday to lead Mt. Spokane to an 8-2 win over visiting North Central in Greater Spokane League softball.

The Wildcats (4-2, 4-1) batted around and scored six runs in the sixth inning on three hits, three walks and a pair of Indians errors.

Brianna Scott finished 3 for 4 for NC (2-2, 2-2).

In other GSL games, Kim Watson earned her fourth victory by striking out eight and scattering five hits as Mead earned a 7-4 win at Rogers (3-2, 3-2). Watson added one hit and one run and teammate Megan Thigpen smacked a two-run double for the Panthers (4-2, 3-2). … Mandy Mikelson picked up her first victory by scattering five hits and striking out six, leading University to a 7-1 over visiting Ferris (0-7, 0-6). Angie Boardman singled, doubled and tripled, driving in three runs for the Titans (4-1, 4-1). Teammate Tonya Schnibe collected a pair of hits and scored three runs. … Shelly Lloyd made her first career start memorable, leading Central Valley past visiting East Valley (4-3, 3-3) 3-2, striking out eight Knights and walking just three. Whitney McDaniel came on in the seventh to earn a save for CV (3-2, 3-2). Jamie McCullough went 3 for 3 with a double and RBI for the Bears. … Gonzaga Prep (5-2, 4-2) scored five runs in the first two innings at West Valley (2-3, 2-2), romping to a 13-2 victory over the Eagles. … Shadle Park’s Stephanie Trudeau earned her second win with a 10-0 shutout over visiting Lewis and Clark (0-4, 0-4). Trudeau struck out 16 and allowed two hits. China Frost, Samantha Skillingstad and Kenzie Powell each went 2 for 4 for the Highlanders (5-1, 4-1). … Clarkston scored four runs in the first inning and added four more in the sixth to earn a 12-6 win at Cheney (1-5, 1-5). Colby Estlund collected three hits for the Bantams (3-3, 3-3). Teammate Kristin Wilson was 2 for 4 with three RBIs and struck out six while pitching the final three innings.

Baseball

Matt Dinsmore finished 3 for 5 to lead Lakeside-Nine Mile Falls to a 9-5 Great Northern League baseball victory at Medical Lake. Alex Stillar drove in two runs on two hits, and Alex Froemke added two hits, two runs and an RBI for the Eagles. Jon O’Connor belted a three-run homer in the fourth for the Cardinals. … In another GNL game, Deer Park scored a 5-0 shutout of visiting Riverside. … Pullman’s scheduled game with visiting Colville was rained out. No rescheduled date was announced.

Boys soccer

Medical Lake scored four times in the first half en route to a 7-1 GNL victory at Chewelah. The Cardinals outshot the Cougars 35-3.

Boys golf

Central Valley’s Nick Grigsby carded a 1-under-par 69 to earn medalist honors in the GSL tournament at Wandermere Golf Course. Mead’s Jeff Wilcox had the shot of the day. Wilcox, who shot a 75 to place 11th, aced the 135-yard 14th hole with a gap wedge. Gonzaga Prep had the low team score with 381, four shots better than Ferris and six better than University. G-Prep’s Carl Brophy shot a 72 to share second place with Clarkston’s Corey Wooley. Prep’s Sean King carded a 73 to divide fourth-place honors with Clarkston’s Joel Dahmen.
