The Bills bring their “global acoustic roots music” to Spokane’s CenterStage for a dinner concert on Sunday.

Formed in 1996, the five-piece Vancouver, B.C.-based band says it draws inspiration from “a broad range of North American traditions, a mélange of European stylings, rhythms of Latin America and melodies of the wandering Romany peoples.”

The group was voted B.C. Touring Artists of the Year in 2002 and its latest album, “Let Em Run,” was nominated for a 2005 JUNO award (Canada’s equivalent of the Grammys) for Roots/Traditional Album.

Sunday’s show begins with dinner service at 5:30 p.m. followed by the music at 7. Tickets are $43; “show only” tickets (including dessert and beverage) are $22 for adults, $15 for students with ID.

Tickets are available through the CenterStage box office at 1017 W. First Ave. (747-8243) or with service charges through TicketsWest outlets (325-SEAT, 800-325-SEAT, www.ticketswest.com).

The Bills replace the previously announced performer for the World Music Concert series, Children of the Revolution.
