SEATTLE – Thanks to its push for renewable energy, Seattle remains among the top 10 “Greenest Cities” in the country.
The list is compiled yearly by The Green Guide, a news and information source for environmentally sound living.
Seattle made the list for its mandate that Seattle City Light meet growth demand with no net increase in greenhouse gases, The Green Guide said. The group also noted that Seattle devotes 12 percent of its city land to public parks.
