Augustus guides LSU to easy win

Seimone Augustus scored six of her 21 points during a 13-point first-half run to lead No. 3 LSU to a 64-48 victory over No. 4 Ohio State (6-1) on Thursday night at Columbus, Ohio.

The Lady Tigers (6-0) never trailed after the opening 6 minutes, and their lead never dropped to single figures in the final 24 minutes.

Sylvia Fowles added a career-high 25 points and 16 rebounds, hitting 11 of 15 shots from the field.

(1) Tennessee 83, Louisiana Tech 59: At Knoxville, Tenn., Shanna Zolman scored 21 points and Candace Parker had 18 points and seven rebounds to lead the Lady Vols (9-0) over the Lady Techsters (5-3).

(10) Arizona State 68, Fresno State 52: At Fresno, Calif., Emily Westerberg (Central Valley High) scored 15 points and the Sun Devils (8-1) forced 23 turnovers in a win over the Bulldogs (5-3).

ASU’s Briann January (Lewis and Clark High) finished with six steals.
