Costlow hits six 3s; Odessa reaches 5-0

Drake Costlow hit a 3-pointer in the corner with 6 seconds left Friday to give Odessa a 49-48 victory over host Liberty in a Bi-County League game at Spangle.

Costlow’s 3-pointer was his sixth of the game, all in the second half. He finished with 18 points and Kory Kolterman added 10 for the Tigers (5-0, 3-0). Travis Iksic had five assists.

Andy Hodgson scored 20 points to lead the Lancers (3-1, 2-1), and Aaron Weis added 12.

In other Bi-Co action, Karl Richardson had 21 points and 13 rebounds to lead host Northwest Christian to a 59-57 victory over Almira/Coulee-Hartline in Colbert. Joe Grewe added 15 points and five assists for the Crusaders (3-1, 3-1). Greg Giese scored 24 points and led a comeback effort for ACH (1-3, 0-3) with three 3-pointers in the fourth quarter. … Vitaliy Kozubenko and Justin McNamara each scored 15 points as Valley Christian (4-1, 3-1) defeated visiting Davenport 56-31. Luke Rodenbough scored 14 points to lead the Gorillas (1-3, 1-3), who scored just two first-quarter points and shot 31 percent from the field. … Travis Peaford had 24 points and nine rebounds as Reardan (1-1, 1-1) defeated visiting Lind-Ritzville 64-46. Nick Ashley led the Broncos (2-3, 1-3) with 14 points. … Michael Johnson had 19 points and eight rebounds as Wilbur-Creston defeated Sprague-Harrington 54-44 in Harrington. Shayne Lewis added 13 points for the Wildcats (4-1, 3-0), who had 11 offensive rebounds. Bryceson Charlton led the Falcons (0-6, 0-4) with 19 points.

Jesse Butcher had 20 points, 12 rebounds and seven steals as St. John-Endicott won its Whitman County League opener with a 73-40 victory over Colton (0-1, 0-1) in St. John. Brent Leifer added 11 points and eight assists for the Eagles (5-2, 1-0), who took a 24-7 first-quarter lead. … Saxon Wolf had 16 points and six rebounds and hit four 3-pointers as Garfield-Palouse (2-3, 1-0) defeated LaCrosse-Washtucna 50-46 in Palouse. Matt Martin led L-W (1-2, 0-1) with 19 points. … Kelly Cook scored 16 points and Alex Hovde pulled down 14 rebounds as Tekoa-Oakesdale (3-2, 1-0) defeated host Asotin 60-46. DeAngelo Casto scored 14 of his 21 points in the second quarter as Freeman (3-2) defeated visiting Colville 63-43 in a non-leaguer. Tyson Luu led the Indians (1-3) with 14 points. … Matt Pleasants scored 18 points as host Lake Roosevelt (2-2) defeated Quincy 65-39 in Coulee Dam.
