Dwyane Wade scored 32 points, and Shaquille O’Neal had 21 points and 13 rebounds to give Miami Heat coach Pat Riley his third win this week, a 112-105 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night in Philadelphia.

With James Posey hitting all three 3-point attempts in the first half, Gerald Fitch making a meaningful contribution off the bench and Antoine Walker sinking big 3s down the stretch, the Heat held off a late Sixers rally to win their fourth straight game.

NBA leading scorer Allen Iverson led the Sixers with 35 points, but left the game briefly in the first half with a sprained thumb.

Chris Webber scored 23 for the Sixers, who had their four-game winning streak snapped.

Since Riley took over the Heat on Monday when Stan Van Gundy resigned, Miami has won three straight games on the road.

Suns 101, Hornets 88: Eddie House scored 26 points, including 16 in the fourth quarter, and Phoenix rallied to spoil New Orleans’ homecoming with a victory in Baton Rouge, La.

Chris Paul led the Hornets with 25 points. The Hornets were playing their first regular-season game in Louisiana after being forced to relocate to Oklahoma City because of Hurricane Katrina.

Warriors 108, Raptors 98: Jason Richardson scored 23 points and Golden State made a season-high 17 3-pointers in a victory over the Raptors in Toronto.

Baron Davis had 20 points and 11 assists, Derek Fisher scored 21 points and Troy Murphy added 20 for the Warriors, who went 17 of 29 from 3-point territory – one off their franchise record of 18 done twice last season.

Chris Bosh scored 27 points for the Raptors, who dropped to 1-11 at home.

Pacers 93, Jazz 83: Jermaine O’Neal had 27 points and 11 rebounds to lead Indiana over Utah in Indianapolis.

Austin Croshere and Stephen Jackson each added 16 points for the Pacers, who won for the first time since management said it would look to honor Ron Artest’s public request to be traded.

Mehmet Okur led Utah with 19 points and 12 rebounds.

Hawks 122, Knicks 111: Joe Johnson scored a career-high 36 points and Al Harrington scored 35 as Atlanta handed visiting New York its fifth straight loss.

The Hawks shot 63 percent from the field, best in the NBA this season.

Jamal Crawford had 23 points to pace New York.

Bucks 100, Celtics 96: Mo Williams had 24 points and nine rebounds, and Michael Redd also scored 24 as Milwaukee, which blew a 17-point lead in the third quarter, recovered to beat the Celtics in Boston.

Paul Pierce had 23 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds for Boston, which has not won consecutive games all season.

Nets 115, Nuggets 106 (OT): Vince Carter scored 34 points and Richard Jefferson added 21, including five in overtime, as New Jersey beat Denver in East Rutherford, N.J.

Jason Kidd added 15 points and 16 assists for the Nets, and forced overtime with a 3-pointer with 11 seconds left.

Andre Miller led the Nuggets with 22 points and 13 assists.

Pistons 110, Bulls 82: Rasheed Wallace scored 10 of his 19 points in the third quarter, and Detroit whipped Chicago in Auburn Hills, Mich.

Detroit improved to 17-3, the best 20-game start in team history, and snapped Chicago’s four-game road winning streak. The Pistons are 7-1 at home.

Chris Duhon led Chicago with 13 points.

Mavericks 109, Magic 103 (OT): Dirk Nowitzki scored 10 of his 31 points in overtime to lead Dallas past visiting Orlando.

Josh Howard scored 24 points for Dallas before fouling out with 1:06 left in regulation, and Jason Terry had 22 points for the Mavericks, who’ve won seven of their last eight.

Grant Hill had 28 points in his second game this season after missing Orlando’s first 19 following surgery for a sports hernia.

Gilbert Arenas had 29 points and Caron Butler scored 20 to pace the Wizards.

Hornets eye March return to New Orleans

Hornets owner George Shinn isn’t sure when his team will play again in New Orleans.

Team president Paul Mott and NBA deputy commissioner Russ Granik met with officials from New Orleans Arena, which suffered far less damage than the adjoining Superdome during Hurricane Katrina.

“They say the Arena will be ready by March,” Shinn said. “But the bids for the work have not gone out yet and it’s hard for us to schedule games there until we’re 100 percent sure it will be ready.”

The Hornets would like to play from one to three games in the arena in March, Shinn said.

•The Utah Jazz have decided what disciplinary action they want to give rookie Robert Whaley for lying to the team, but are awaiting final approval from the NBA before issuing the punishment, Jazz spokeswoman Linda Luchetti said.

Whaley cut his hand on glass the same night he was involved in a bar fight in Park City, Utah. He later told the Jazz he cut his hand while taking a sharp kitchen knife away from his 2-year-old son.

Whaley and teammate Deron Williams were cited Wednesday with one count each of providing false information to a peace officer following the bar brawl.
