The Spokesman-Review

The Spokane Shock arenafootball2 team added Chauncy Ako, Andrew Dorsey and Frank Renner to its roster, the team announced Tuesday.

Ako, 5-foot-11 and 250 pounds, was a second-team All-Western Athletic Conference linebacker at Boise State University in 2002. He played for the af2’s Hawaiian Islanders during the 2004 season.

“Playing in Boise, I’m familiar with Spokane and I know it’s going to be a great place to play,” Ako said.

Dorsey, 6-1 and 240 pounds, had 41 tackles during his senior season at Portland State University.

Renner, 6-3 and 240 pounds, is the running backs coach at NAIA Dickenson (N.D.) State, where he played from 2001-03.

The additions give the Shock 16 players on their roster. The team opens training camp March 13 and the regular season March 30 at the Arena.
