Timberlake Jr. High chooses students of month

Timberlake Junior High recently named its students of the month for November.

Seventh-grade winners are Matthew Spraktes of Athol, the son of David Spraktes. Matthew says he “loves to snowboard, play basketball, run track and spend time with my parents. My achievements are that I have gotten the Presidential Award twice, I get great grades in school. I don’t know what I want to be when I’m older yet.”

Brianne Shirts, also of Athol, is another seventh-grade winner. Her parents are Ken and Ilene Shirts. Brianne likes horseback riding, swimming, origami and sports. Her school achievements include being in advanced math and Tiger Paw

Eighth-grade winners include Blake Williams of Bayview, who is the son of Shelli Standish. He likes snowmobiling, water-skiing, and knee-boarding. He won the Presidential Award in fifth and sixth grade.

Beatrice Skinner of Athol is another eighth-grade winner. She’s the daughter of Candous Thompson. Beatrice likes “hanging out with my friends, riding my horse Scamper, and caring for all of my animals.”
