Corigliano leads Lakeside to victory

Lakeside kept a share of the Great Northern League leadership by turning away Pullman, 57-42, at Nine Mile Falls.

Tiffany Corigliano led Lakeside (14-3, 7-2) with 16 points and 11 rebounds while Kelsey Stillar scored a game-high 18 points.

The Greyhounds (9-8, 4-5) got 13 points from Jamie Thornton.

Chewelah 47, Riverside 41: The Cougars closed the game with a 7-1 run in the final two minutes at home. With the game tied, 40-40, Nikki Nelson and Sarah Scates hit back-to-back jumpers to put Chewelah (15-3, 8-2) over the top. Riverside (13-4, 6-3) got 14 points from Angela Hartill.

ACH claims Bi-County title

Almira/Coulee-Hartline found itself tied with Lind-Ritzville, 23-23, in the third quarter, on the road, in the regular season finale. So the Warriors went on a 16-2 romp that wrapped up a 39-25 decision and the Bi-County League championship. Michelle Balcom scored eight of her game-high 17 points in the final quarter for ACH (18-2, 17-1). Lind-Ritzville (11-9, 11-7) finishes fourth in league. … Liberty 52, Northwest Christian 38: The Lancers (13-7, 13-5) wrapped up a third-place league finish behind Shawn Hennessey’s 16-point performance. Liberty will host the Crusaders (8-12, 7-11) in a playoff opener. … Odessa 54, Reardan 42: The Tigers (5-15, 5-13) clinched the eighth and final playoff spot with the win at home over the Indians (3-17, 2-16). Odessa opens the playoffs against Almira/Coulee-Hartline Friday. … Sprague-Harrington 63, Valley Christian 30: The Falcons got off to a fast start at home against the Panthers (4-16, 3-15) as Stacie Shields scored nine of her 14 points in the first eight minutes. Sprague-Harrington (17-3, 16-2) opens the playoffs by hosting No. 7 seed Wilbur-Creston Friday. … Davenport 61, Wilbur-Creston 28: The Gorillas (10-10, 9-9) nailed down a fifth-place finish with a win over the Wildcats (7-13, 7-11) at Creston. Kari Klaas scored 16 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead the Gorillas. Davenport opens the playoffs Friday at Lind-Ritzville.

Republic stuns Selkirk in OT

Republic (12-8) scored the upset in the first round of the Panorama League playoffs, knocking off South Division runner-up Selkirk (10-11), 45-42, in overtime at Selkirk. Sarah Knapton scored four of her team-high 12 points in overtime to lead the Tigers. Republic, the No. 3 seed from the North Division, plays at North champion Curlew Friday. Selkirk hosts Springdale. … Curlew 57, Springdale 36: The Cougars (19-2), the Panorama League North champions, got 18 points from both Brittany Strandberg and Nicole Miller in a win over the Chargers (6-15). … Cusick 89, Wellpinit 43: The Panthers (20-1) built a 49-11 lead at intermission and cruised to the victory over the Redskins (11-10) in their playoff opener at home. Misty Ostlie poured in 23 points and Kimberly Bluff added 22 points for Cusick. … Inchelium 56, St. George’s 48: Chelsi Pakootas scored 12 to lead the Hornets (17-4) past the visiting Dragons (8-13). The Hornets play at Cusick Friday, while the Dragons host Wellpinit.
