Free Nutrition Education Classes – The University of Idaho Extension Nutrition Program is presenting weekly classes to those who receive food stamps, school free-lunch programs or other Health and Welfare programs. Personal Care: Overcoming Challenges and Adapting to the Needs of Persons with Alzheimer’s Disease – This class will discuss bathing, dressing, toileting, eating and sleeping for those with Alzheimer’s. Prepared Childbirth – Five-week class will discuss the stages and management of labor. Starts Wednesday, 7-9 p.m. at Valley Hospital and Medical Center, 12606 E. Mission Ave.; Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Deaconess Medical Center, 800 W. Fifth; or next Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Sacred Heart Medical Center, 101 W. Breastfeeding Basics – Two-week class will discuss the benefits of breastfeeding and techniques. Starts Thursday, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Valley Hospital and Medical Center, 12606 E. Healthcare Provider CPR Renewal – This class is for those with a current AHA Healthcare Provider card, meets Thursday from 7:45 a.m.-noon at St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute, 711 S. Cowley. Babysitting Basics – For 10- to 15-year-old boys and girls interested in babysitting. Class will meet Monday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Deaconess Health Education Center, Room 265, 800 W.
