Deadline near to apply for Miss Spokane Valley

Miss Spokane Valley applications are due Monday.

Eleventh-graders in Spokane Valley high schools are eligible to apply for the ambassador scholarship program. The next Miss Spokane Valley will be chosen March 19 during a program at West Valley High School.

Miss Spokane Valley 2005 and her court of two ambassadors will represent the community at parades, business grand openings and special community events until March 2006.

The program recognizes academic achievement and community service. Miss Spokane Valley will receive a $1,000 scholarship and the second and third runners up each will receive a $500 scholarship.

Applications must be brought to the Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce office at 9507 E. Sprague Ave. by the end of the day Monday. For more information, call 924-4994.
