See Spike, Zags mascot, enter to win Scion XB

Spike, the Gonzaga University Bulldog mascot, will make an appearance today at the Sprague and McDonald Tidyman’s from 10 a.m. to noon. Spike will be joined by the Gonzaga cheer team.

People can get their pictures taken with Spike for no charge. The cheer team will be selling raffle tickets for $5. The top prize is the Kennel Patrol Car, a 2005 Scion XB worth $17,000.

The second place prize is two season tickets for next year’s men’s basketball team. Season tickets range from $800 to $7,400 a pair and there is currently a waiting list 600 names long.

The drawing will close on Feb. 28. Tickets also can be purchased at upcoming home basketball games or at the McCarthey Athletic Center ticket office.
