Michigan State gets a big victory over Wisconsin

Alan Anderson didn’t miss and scored a career-high 28 points to lead No. 10 Michigan State to a 77-64 win over No. 20 Wisconsin on Thursday at East Lansing, Mich., snapping a 12-game losing streak against ranked opponents and a six-game skid against the Badgers.

Anderson was 10 of 10 from the field and 7 of 7 from the line for the Spartans (20-4, 11-2 Big Ten), who have won 10 of 11 since losing to the Badgers (17-7, 8-5) on Jan. 16.

Michigan State’s last nine victories have been by double digits.

Wisconsin’s Mike Wilkinson scored 18 points, Alando Tucker had 16 and reserve Zach Morley added 11.

(24) Cincinnati 80, Marquette 68: Eric Hicks scored 17 points, and the Bearcats (21-6, 9-4 Conference USA) used their strength inside to defeat the Golden Eagles (18-9, 6-8) in Marquette’s first game without leading scorer Travis Diener. Jason Maxiell scored 14 points as Cincinnati let its formidable power forwards lead the way once again.

Temeka Johnson scored a career-high 28 points to help the top-ranked LSU Tigers (26-1, 13-0) clinch at least a share of the Southeastern Conference title with a 90-64 victory over Arkansas (15-11, 3-10) at Fayetteville, Ark. Danielle Allen led Arkansas with 13 points. … (2) Duke 95, Miami 61: At Durham, N.C., Mistie Williams had 23 points and eight rebounds for the Blue Devils (26-2, 12-1), which scored the first 10 points. Tamara James scored 26 points to lead the Hurricanes (12-14, 4-9). … (3) Stanford 76, Oregon 45: At Stanford, Calif., the Cardinal (25-2, 16-1 Pac-10) avenged their only conference loss, getting 13 points apiece from Candice Wiggins and Brooke Smith.
