Thief steals $3,500 in wine from grocery store
BELLEVUE, Wash. – Police are looking for a bold thief who stole eight bottles of wine — worth nearly $3,500 — from a QFC grocery just across the street from Bellevue Square mall.
Surveillance photos show the man walking into the store twice, each time making a trip to the wine vault where high-end wine is stored. Three of the stolen bottles reportedly sell for $575 apiece, police said in a news release.
A wine steward called police when he noticed the expensive bottles were missing. The crime happened Dec. 10.
