Crusaders cruise past Panthers

Northwest Christian built a 13-point first-half lead and cruised to a 63-38 victory at Valley Christian in a showdown of Bi-County League unbeaten teams on Tuesday.

Karl Richardson pumped in 24 points, hitting on 10 of 15 shots from the field, to lead the Crusaders (8-0, 5-0). Josh Greer contributed another 14 points.

Vitaliy Kozubenko’s 10-point effort paced Valley Christian (6-2, 5-1).

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 64, Davenport 47: Kyle Higgenbothem amassed 21 points to lead the visiting Warriors (2-3, 2-2), connecting on four 3-pointers and hitting 5 of 8 from the free-throw line. Luke Rodenbough and Kyle Nelson scored 13 and 12 points, respectively, to lead the Gorillas (1-7, 0-6). … Lind-Ritzville 66, Odessa 44: The unbeaten Broncos rolled into Odessa and scored the comfortable victory. Cameron Stevenson and Drew Phillips each scored 11 points and Jon McPherson chipped in 10 to lead Lind-Ritzville (6-0, 4-0). The Tigers (1-5, 1-5) got a game-high 15 points from David Johnson.

Wilbur-Creston 54, Reardan 52 (OT): Cade Anderson sank five free throws in overtime, the final two with two seconds left, to lift the Wildcats (3-2, 3-4) to the home victory over the Indians. Anderson finished with a career-high 20 points on 8-for-11 shooting from the line. Reardan (1-5, 2-6), which tied the game with 13 seconds remaining in regulation and again with 12 seconds left in overtime, got 15 points from Ian Wagner, 13 from Bob Gambrel and 12 from Travis Teaford. … Liberty 43, Sprague-Harrington 41: The Lancers’ Aaron Weis drove through traffic to score the game-winning layup with five seconds left in the game at Spangle. Jeff Baird led Liberty (4-3, 4-2) with 11 points, including a clutch 3-point shot in the fourth quarter. Bryceson Charlton had 14 points to lead Sprague-Harrington (3-5, 2-4), with Terry Kissler and Josh Adams adding 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Hornets hold off Chargers

Inchelium held off a fourth-quarter rally by Springdale to take a 64-60 victory at Inchelium. Lance Ragan led all scorers with 27 points and added 17 rebounds for Inchelium (3-6, 2-4), with Richard Williams adding 19 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Springdale (1-9, 0-5) got 21 points from Adam Thompson.

Nighthawks upend Eagles

Tekoa-Oakesdale slipped into St. John and scored a 65-52 victory over the Eagles. Derek Flock paced the Nighthawks (8-0, 3-0) with 25 points, with Bobby Ellis adding 13 and Tyler Young 12. St. John-Endicott (7-3, 2-1) got 21 points from Jesse Butcher. … Garfield-Palouse 70, Rosalia 49: The Vikings shot 49 percent from the field at Rosalia, connecting on 7 of 12 from 3-point range. Mike Rosser and Nels Iverson each scored 18 to lead the Gar-Pal (5-3, 1-1). Rosalia (3-7, 0-2) got 11 points from Kris Widman. … Asotin 75, Colton 61: Asotin shot 29 of 57 from the floor to score the victory at Colton. Colton whittled a 20-point Asotin lead down to just seven in the fourth quarter before the Panthers pulled away again. Brian Schinder scored 21 points, Tyler Swensen 16 and Chaz Appleton 14 to lead Asotin (8-2, 2-1). Colton (3-7, 0-3) got 20 points from Kyle Schultheis.

Cardinals cruise past Bulldogs

Medical Lake built a 15-5 lead after one quarter and pulled away to score a 57-39 victory over visiting Kettle Falls. Tanner Tareski and Steven Wesley scored 17 and 15 points, respectively, to lead the Cardinals (6-0). Kettle Falls (7-5) got 15 points from Zac Barber. … Deer Park 67, Newport 39: The host Stags leaped to a 27-2 lead after one quarter and never looked back, leading 46-5 at intermission. Deer Park (4-3) got 21 points from Lance Selle. Myles Melendez led the Grizzlies (3-5) with 16 points, all in the second half. … Pullman 53, Colfax 37: J.T. Levenseller came off the bench to score 16 points and lead the Greyhounds to the win at Colfax. … Riverside 57, St. George’s 28: Riverside rode its defense to the road victory over the Dragons.

Lakeland holds off CdA

Lakeland used a 10-rebound edge to defeat Coeur d’Alene 67-62 in an Inland Empire League game at Coeur d’Alene (4-4, 1-1).

The Hawks (5-4, 2-1) outrebounded the Vikings 33-22 and sealed the victory from the free-throw line down the stretch.

Ryan Gallia was held six points less than his 24-points-per-game average, but Phillip Viebrock and Daniel Brunner had 16 and 11 points for Lakeland.

Post Falls 65, Lewiston 62: Scott Stockwell scored 24 to lead the host Trojans (3-5, 1-1) past the Bengals.
