Book sale to aid Freeman library

The Spokesman-Review

The Freeman High School used book sale this week will have books – hundreds of them.

But in addition to the usual fiction and nonfiction, the sale will include vinyl records boasting famous voices reading classics. Included in the selection is “Sherlock Holmes” read by Basil Rathbone, Robert Frost reading his own work and Arthur Miller reading from “The Crucible” and “The Death of Salesman.”

The sale will run from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the school, 14626 S. Jackson Road, north of Rockford off Highway 27.

Proceeds will be used to purchase new books for the school library.
