Sandpoint stages late run to edge PF

Sandpoint used an 11-4 run in the final 2 1/2 minutes Tuesday to defeat visiting Post Falls 45-41 in the Inland Empire League.

Amanda Swerin drilled a pair of 3-pointers and Kelsey James scored five points, including a three-point play, to ignite the Bulldogs’ comeback.

James and Elle Carne each scored 12 points to lead Sandpoint (10-3, 5-2).

Mackenzie Sinclair had 11 points to lead Post Falls (2-12, 0-8).

Lakeland 60, Moscow 47: The Hawks built a 10-point lead after one quarter while earning a victory at Moscow. Jessie Bartlett led Lakeland (9-5, 3-4 IEL) with 13 points, and Brigitte Boucher added 10. Jacki Calhoun paced Moscow (6-9, 2-5) with 14 points. … Coeur d’Alene 59, Lewiston 29: The Vikings maintained control the entire way at Lewiston. Jenna Griffitts scored 17 points and Ali Johnson added 14, including three 3-pointers, to lead Coeur d’Alene (12-2, 7-1).

Wampus Cats topple Mullan

Clark Fork opened the second half with an 18-8 run and rolled to a 51-31 victory at Mullan. Rayna Allen scored 21 points and Tiffany Van Buren added 11 for the Wampus Cats. Jolene Meredith totaled 11 assists for Clark Fork (2-6, 1-3). Anali Carrico led Mullan (1-9, 1-2) with 11 points.

Deer Park frolics at Timberlake

Deer Park hit the gas early and never let up, scoring a 68-26 victory over host Timberlake at Spirit Lake. The Stags (8-1) were led by Laura Gibson, who scored 13 points of her 20 points in the opening quarter. Lynsie Powers had 15 points for the Tigers (4-10). … Wallace 47, St. Maries 33: The visiting Miners maintained a double-digit lead the entire second half to defeat the Lumberjacks (5-7). Krista Williams scored 11 points to lead Wallace (10-3). Rachelle Solom scored 15 for the Lumberjacks (5-7).
