Southern Miss suffers worst home setback in history

Francisco Garcia had 25 points to lead six Louisville players in double figures, and the 19th-ranked Cardinals routed Southern Mississippi 107-62 on Tuesday night in Hattiesburg, Miss.

Ellis Myles had 20 points for the Cardinals (13-3, 2-1 Conference USA), who led by as many as 48 points and shot 57 percent from the field in the Golden Eagles’ (9-6, 0-3) worst home loss in school history.

(4) Wake Forest 81, Maryland 66: Justin Gray continued his torrid shooting streak, scoring 25 points to lead the Demon Deacons (14-1, 3-0 ACC) to a victory over the Terrapins (9-4, 1-2) at Winston-Salem, N.C.

(6) Oklahoma St. 78, Missouri 68: At Stillwater, Okla., Joey Graham scored 27 points and the Cowboys (12-1, 2-0 Big 12) took the lead for good with two free throws midway through the second half to hold off the Tigers (9-6, 1-1).

(23) Alabama 64, Arkansas 61: Earnest Shelton scored 18 points to lead the Crimson Tide (13-3, 2-1 SEC) to a victory over the Razorbacks (13-3, 1-2) at Fayetteville, Ark.

(4) Rutgers 68, Pittsburgh 41: At Piscataway, N.J., freshman Matee Ajavon had 24 points, and the Scarlet Knights (11-2, 2-0 Big East) handled the Panthers (9-5, 1-2). … (5) Ohio State 84, Michigan 56: At Ann Arbor, Mich., Caity Matter scored 28 points and the Buckeyes (15-2, 3-1 Big Ten) handed the Wolverines (4-12, 0-5) their eighth straight loss. … (23) Kansas St. 87, Missouri 44: The Wildcats (11-3, 2-1 Big 12) opened the game with an 11-0 run as they defeated the Tigers (7-7, 1-2) in Manhattan, Kan.
