Was Brad starting to get his jollies with Angelina?

Could Angelina Jolie be the “other woman” in the Brad Pitt-Jennifer Aniston breakup? Jolie and Pitt became slightly more than fast friends last year while filming “Mr. and Mrs. Smith,” about a husband-wife secret agent team who are hired to kill each other.

“Jennifer knows that Angelina got under his skin, and it bothered her,” a source told People magazine.

“They did not sleep with each other,” another source added, but Pitt “was obviously taken by Angelina.”

He adored Jolie’s 3-year-old son, Maddox. Pitt’s desire for children reportedly was one reason he split with Aniston, who wasn’t quite ready to take that step.

Pitt also admired Jolie’s social activism. She is a goodwill ambassador for the United Nation’s refugee agency.

“He changed,” one source said. “It might have been slight, but it’s noticeable. And Jennifer knew it.”

The Crue has a new first mate

Looks like the days of “Girls, Girls, Girls” are over for Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil.

Neil, 43, the band’s lead singer, married girlfriend Lia Gerardini, 37, Sunday in a Las Vegas ceremony with MC Hammer officiating. It’s her second marrage, his fourth.

Motley Crue, a 1980s metal band known for hard partying and wild sexcapades, recently reunited after a five-year hiatus and went on tour, including a March 30 stop at the Spokane Arena.

Readin’, writin’, reality?

In the wake of parental protests, plans have been canceled to have Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie work as substitute teachers at a New Jersey middle school as part of their Fox reality series “The Simple Life.”

The third season, which premieres Jan. 26, will have the pair traveling the country trying their hand as interns at various jobs.

“I just feel that it’s ludicrous that the Board of Education and the administration would invite Paris Hilton to teach 11-, 12- and 13-year-olds, and Nicole Richie, too,” one parent complained. “Their reputation leaves a lot to be desired.”

Maybe she should just dive into her work

Nicole Kidman is headed to tsunami-stricken Indonesia next week in her role as a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF – with a few strings attached.

“I’m not allowed to skydive, which I love to do, and I’m not allowed to dive with sharks, which I love to do,” she said on Ellen DeGeneres‘ talk show Monday, adding that her kids won’t let her take the risks.

Connick’s new jammie session

Harry Connick Jr., having already moved from music to movies to television, is Broadway-bound.

The jazz crooner is slated to star in next season’s revival of the smash hit musical “The Pajama Game.” Connick will play the part originated by John Raitt in 1954 as a supervisor in an Iowa pajama factory who falls for a female union activist during a period of labor unrest.
