She does dress like she’s desperate for attention

Nicollette Sheridan of “Desperate Housewives” is the worst of the worst when it comes to wardrobe, according to Mr. Blackwell. “In barely-there bombs, she’s a taste-free pain. Let’s crown her the Tacky Temptress of Wisteria Lane,” the former designer said in his 45th annual list of fashion winners and losers.

Next lamest was Lindsay Lohan, whom Blackwell called “over-hyped and under-dressed,” while sisters Jessica and Ashlee Simpson tied for third. Last year’s worst-dressed, Paris Hilton, dropped to No. 5.

Other fashion losers included Courtney Love, Serena Williams, Britney Spears, Paula Abdul, Meryl Streep and Anna Nicole Smith.

However, Blackwell gave kudos to “fabulous fashion independents” Nicole Kidman, Natalie Portman, Barbara Walters, Kate Winslet, Annette Bening, Oprah Winfrey, Scarlett Johansson, Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Garner and Sheridan’s on-screen nemesis, Teri Hatcher.

Firemen – that’s hot

After getting the cold shoulder from a rural New Jersey school, Paris Hilton is taking her “The Simple Life” reality show to a fire station in nearby Atlantic City instead.

The third season, which premieres Jan. 26, has Hilton and co-star Nicole Richie traveling the country working as interns in a series of jobs. After parents complained, they were rejected as substitute teachers at a middle school, so decided to give firefighting a try.

“Some guys are excited about it,” said fire Capt. William Brooks, who heads an engine company at the Chief John J. Jasper Jr. Memorial Fire Station.

The E! entertainment cable channel, which scored big ratings with its coverage of the O.J Simpson murder case, will settle for the next-best thing at Michael Jackson‘s upcoming child molestation trial.

With cameras banned from the courtroom, E! plans to have a half-hour show each night with actors re-enacting some of the testimony, word for word.

Network president Ted Harbert said he’d hire “the best actors we can find,” but that viewers shouldn’t expect to see any recognizable names.

D’Angelo, you devil

Grammy-winning R&B singer D’Angelo (aka Michael Eugene Archer) was charged with drunken driving and drug possession after police pulled him over in a suburb of his hometown Richmond, Va., early Sunday.

A search turned up “what we believe to be cocaine and marijuana,” a police spokesman said. D’Angelo is due in court next Tuesday.

Rapper Nas and R&B songstress Kelis, who had been dating for two years, were married Saturday in an intimate ceremony at an Atlanta church.

Nas, 31, snared the hip-hop world’s attention with his 1994 debut album, “Illmatic.” Kelis, 25, is best known for her chart-topping single “Milkshake.”

The couple met at Sean “P. Diddy” Combs‘ afterparty for the 2002 MTV Video Music Awards.
